Aroostook County is the furthermost north county in the state of Maine. It is bigger than the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined. The county seat of Aroostook is the town of Houlton, which sits along the USA-New Brunswick, Canada border. Interstate 95 goes through the center of town and to the border, where it continues as NB 95. In 2010 the county's population was 71,870. The largest city in Aroostook is Presque Isle, which also sits along the Canada border.
