Evangeline Parish, Louisiana

Evangeline is one of the 64 parishes in the state of Louisiana. It was created in 1910 from part of St. Landry parish. As of the 2010 census, the population was 33,984. The county seat is Ville Platte. The county has 680 square miles in area.
