Androscoggin County is one of the 16 counties in the US state of Maine. The county seat is the city of Auburn, which has a twin city named Lewiston, although this is not the official county seat. The 2010 census population of Androscoggin County was 107,702. Androscoggin County was created in 1854 from towns originally in Cumberland County, Lincoln County, Kennebec County, and Oxford County.
