Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana

 

Calcasieu is one of the 64 parishes in the state of Louisiana. It was created in 1840 from part of St. Landry parish. As of the 2010 census, the population was 192,768. The parish seat is Lake Charles. The parish has 1,094 square miles in area.
