Fulton GA

Fulton is one of the 159 counties in the state of Georgia. It was created in 1853 from part of DeKalb County. As of the 2010 census, the population was 920,581, up from 816,006 in 2000. It is the most populous county in the state of Georgia. The county seat and largest city is Atlanta, the state capital.

The county has 534.61 square miles (1,385 km2) of area, of which 528.66 sq mi (1,369 km2) is land. It is bordered by Cherokee County to the northwest, Forsyth County to the northeast, Gwinnett and DeKalb counties to the east, Clayton and Fayette counties to the south, Coweta County to the southwest, and Carroll, Douglas and Cobb counties to the west.
