Grant County is one of 92 counties in the north central portion of the state of Indiana. The county seat is Marion which has around 30,000 people. However, the county is known to have a lot of incorporated populated places withen it which makes the population total be brought up to 70,061 in the 2010 census.

Grant Counties tagline is "The coolest County in the Midwest. The county really prides itself on being the birth place of the celebrity James Dean. There has also been a lot of important discoveries made in the Pipe Creek Sinkhole near the Howard County border to the west.

On the negitive side of things the county (in the city of Marion) is the last recorded and confirmed place of a hanging of an African American north of the Mason Dixon Line.

Gas City, Jonesboro, and Marion are all touching each others borders and an extension of each other, if they were all one town their population would be 37,669 people as of 2010.
